District H Crossfit Running Club w/ Coach Lauren (Non- District H Crossfit Members)

  • The goal of this 15-week running club is to improve our cardio-respiratory endurance and fitness base via high-intensity runs. These high-intensity runs will consist of short intervals on the track (100-400 meters) and longer tempo runs or time trials (1-10 miles). This program is ideal for members looking to improve how their body processes and uses oxygen or for those training to run the Houston half/full marathon in January!
  • Format:
    • Tuesdays @ 5PM: short intervals on the track
    • Saturdays @ 9AM: tempo run or time trial @ various locations (Rice running loop, Memorial park trails, Buffalo Bayou, etc.)
    • No “easy” runs!
  • Schedule:
    • Begin October 4, 2016(first Tuesday in October)
    • End on January 14, 2017
    • 15 weeks total
